History has written it very clear that the tussle for the number seat in Delta state under the APC have so far recorded a magnificent switch of life weather anybody likes it or not.
If we could only remember how everything started with just one person being able to declare his interest to run for governor under the APC in Delta state.
The race started with support groups visiting individuals to seek their consent to make posters, banners and bill boards stating that they have decided to run for governor in the state.
We can also recount how everything ended when the APC finally settled for the personality of senator Ovie Omo Agege at the long run.
So therefore, in this very short story we shall hear what happened, why it happened, when it happened, who made it happen and where it happened, all on how senator Omo Agege entered the shore as the only Governorship candidate of the APC in Delta state.
First we must look at the capacity of two URHOBO sons in the Personalities of Dr Rufus Eseoghene Ebegba who is the Director General of the National Biosafety Management Agency NBMA and Senator Ovie Omo Agege who is the current Deputy Senate President of the national assembly.
Before now the battle was between the DG and the DSP which boosted a huge political dust in delta state most especially in the Ughelli North local government Area political diacotomy.
Dr Rufus Eseoghene Ebegba was the first to declare his interest to run for governor under the APC while others who were also interested ran off from the APC into other parties and others stayed in their shells for fear of been crushed by the rumored interest of the Omo Agege camp said to have layed ambush for anyone who dears to declare.
Over time, Rufus continued in the quest for holding the position of being the sole aspirant to have declared to run without fear of the unknown, some said he was fearless or maybe because he was a green horn in the politics of Delta, but not the center because without having a grip of the center politics one can't just wake one morning and be appointed and reappointed as the Director General of a very promising agency of the federal government of Nigeria without the input of the state Governor.
With what we saw in the past before the DSP got the full confident to have a declaration to run for governor under the APC it was only Rufus Eseoghene Ebegba the world had as a record running for governor under the APC.
He moved everywhere and almost saw everyone who mattered in delta state politics to prepare the way ahead of the party primary and the general elections as the case maybe.
With all the Dr Rufus Ebegba political movement around delta state, the DSP was not seen even holding a consultation with anyone because as a politician who has alot of years of experience in the delta politics, he seat back to quantify the strength and capacity of anyone who have decided to run before he eventually decided to boost loose into the race.
We recorded how Rufus remained the only person who declared to run under the APC in Delta state and how he mobilized the people in readiness to rebuild the broken pillars of the APC party in Delta state after the division was built by Olorogun Ortega, Great Ogboru and Senator Ovie Omo Agege himself.
These division broke down the influence of the party in delta state but got a lift of life when Rufus Eseoghene Ebegba declare to run because he was the one who worked so hard to reunite the broken walls of the APC by setting up an action plan for his political structure to start off the drastic mass mobilization rallies and special visits to party faithfuls and supporters across Delta.
This was one of the major reasons why the Delta APC boosted into the political space in delta again with more influence in winning the elections come 2023 if care is not taken.
A political party can not have any influence in a place if activities are not carried out from time to time and the Rufus Eseoghene Ebegba movement brought back the APC alive in Delta before Senator Ovie Omo Agege's camp came up with a way to becoming the party's flag-bearer ahead of the 2023 general elections thereby pushing others off the primary race.
For a very understanding and knowledgeable political critic and Commentator, one must agree with this Story that the APC political activities majored up by Rufus Eseoghene Ebegba was what generated the fire that the APC should be boosting of today and that same activities cleared the path for Senator Ovie Omo Agege's camp to even dear to declare to run for governor.
Nobody will refuse to accept the fact that Senator Ovie Omo Agege camp did not have the empertus to run talkless of declaring to the public. It is even rumored that DSP wanted to return to the Senate because of the fear for the unknown. That was why DSP went to reconcile with Olorogun Ortega so that his team would be bigger than any other dearing to step up against his embition.
It's on this note that alot of rumor gates have it that the agreement between Olorogun Ortega and Rufus Ebegba to have stepped aside from the race for Ovie Omo Agege to represent the teamed up family against Great Ogboru who have always designed a means of enriching himself every four years when elections holds.
With the way Rufus Ebegba stepped into the race everyone was fearful in the smiling of a rat from the federal government in Abuja that there must be a super sponsor of his personality to run for governor but if the matter is looked at very well you will discover that Rufus Ebegba is a very strong capacity personality that has a large amount of influence in terms of politics even in delta state and alot of persons don't agree to this.
But for us here if you ask us we tell you that Rufus Ebegba is one of the most intelligent and wise politician in the south south state of Delta because he ventured into the Governorship race like a nobody and gained a serious grounds with the locals and created a very huge Broadway to supporting anyone to becoming Governor come 2023.
Although the Omo Agege camp has been able to put synergy together to capture the personality and capability of Rufus Ebegba which can be used in generating the best and strongest number of voters ahead of the elections.
We imagine the political influence of the DSP, Olorogun Ortega combined with that of Rufus Ebegba in the forthcoming Delta state Governorship elections, the likes of the PDP would not be seen at all. With the Rufus Ebegba political camp the PDP will suffer a serious defeat in history as a party that has held power in Delta state even with a very poor outing since 1999.
Infact for us we have prepared our papers and pen to unveil more political influence that will hit the PDP if the Omo Agege camp would be able to hold back to the political influence of the Rufus Ebegba camp till the election day.
Although the DSP camp has its strategies penciled down over time, but that political influence is not strong enough to win the Delta state Governorship elections where the traditional PDP is all ready to defeat whosoever is put forward against them.
To kill an elephant in an election one needs to team up in the battle front.
And with what is on ground so far, any political party or camp who is able to measure up in having a total control of the Rufus Ebegba camp will end up becoming the 2023 governor of Delta state like it or not.
Politics is about the people and the people deals with partnership to have the game of politics run their way.
For example president Buhari wasn't able to defeat the PDP until he entered a partnership with senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu to win the 2015 general elections so likewise for the SDP camp in delta state.
The Ebegba camp is needed so much more for the Omo Agege and Olorogun Ortega camp to take over delta Governorship come 2023 like it or leave it.
Most politicians know too much and fail because they always take green horns political camps for granted.
The Rufus Ebegba political camp doesn't work with just youths on the streets, the camp is very influencial and has alot of underground voting forces in institutions of learning, cultural heritage campaign groups couples with so much support groups created in all the 25 local government areas of the state.
With such capacity agreement reached as the politics of Delta APC moves on it's very clear that the senator Omo Agege camp will build a stronger team with the Rufus Ebegba team to win to replace the PDP in Delta state once and for all.
Having a through back to the story of the APC supporters turnaround, the kind of funds the DSP would have put on ground to battle for the APC Governorship ticket would have been too huge a difference compared to what other APC state Governorship candidates paid to delegates on their primary elections.
It is even said that Omo Agege camp gave delegates the sum of #30,000 only when other states were giving close to #3million per person to win their nominations as candidates.
But in his own case the Olorogun Ortega and Rufus Ebegba political agreement for Rufus Ebegba to step aside for Omo Agege to enter the shores as the sole APC candidate the battle would have even broken off the APC finally, breeding court cases and bad blood pressured among members.
That's why one of our political Analyst said Rufus Ebegba's decision to allow Omo Agege step in as a sole candidate plays a serious soft landing role for Senator Ovie Omo Agege to roll in as the Delta state APC Governorship candidate.
