ROTIMI AMAECHI LEADS OTHER 2027 PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANTS TO SALUTE NIGERIANS AT CHRISTMAS
By Our Political Correspondent Ibrahim Michah live from Abuja
Former Minister of Transportation and leading 2027 presidential hopeful, Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has joined other aspirants eyeing Nigeria’s top office to extend Christmas and New Year greetings to Nigerians, while using the festive message to restate his vision for quality leadership and credible democratic participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a goodwill message released to mark the Christmas season and the approaching end of 2025, Amaechi wished Nigerians God’s blessings, protection, and a season filled with love, peace, and prosperity.
He described Christmas as a period of reflection, renewal, and hope, urging citizens to remain steadfast in their belief that Nigeria can overcome its current challenges through responsible leadership and active civic engagement.
Amaechi, who is positioning himself as a major contender in the 2027 presidential race, assured Nigerians that if elected President, he would uphold the trust and mandate freely given to him by the people.
He promised to provide purposeful and people-oriented leadership, anchored on accountability, national unity, and rapid development.
The former Rivers State governor called on Nigerians to come out in large numbers to vote during the 2027 polls, emphasizing that voting remains the most powerful democratic tool available to citizens to shape their future. He further urged voters not only to cast their ballots but also to lawfully protect their votes to ensure that the will of the people is fully reflected in election outcomes.
Reflecting on past electoral experiences, Amaechi stressed the importance of vigilance and collective resolve, noting that Nigerians must learn from previous elections and ensure that their mandates are defended through legitimate democratic and legal processes.
According to him, the electorate has both the right and the opportunity to vote out poverty, poor governance, and ineffective leadership through the ballot.
Amaechi also appealed to Nigerians to rise above divisions of region, religion, and tribe when choosing their next President.
He argued that national interest must take precedence over sectional considerations, insisting that Nigeria needs the best leadership capable of rebuilding the nation decisively within a single term of office.
“As we approach the end of 2025 and move steadily into the electioneering period, the government has a responsibility to provide everything required for elections that are credible, free, fair, and acceptable to the Nigerian people,” he said.
He added that for democracy to be meaningful, votes must count under all circumstances, and the outcome of elections must reflect the genuine choice of the electorate.
Amaechi further maintained that any administration rejected at the polls must respect the will of the people, describing this as a fundamental pillar of democracy and national stability.
Concluding his message, Amaechi extended warm Christmas and New Year wishes to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, expressing optimism for a brighter future.
“A warm and joyous Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all Nigerians.
May this festive period bring hope, happiness, and renewal to our great nation,” he said, while wishing Nigerians a brighter 2026 and beyond.
The message positions Amaechi as one of the earliest aspirants to publicly salute Nigerians ahead of the 2027 elections, setting the tone for what is expected to be an increasingly active political season in the months ahead.
Amaechi has broken the record of being the first presidential aspirant in Nigeria for the 2027 Presidential Elections to salute Nigerians at Christmas and New York celebrations.
