SENATOR GODSWILL AKPABIO MUST BE PUNISHED IF FOUND GUILTY OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT

...Nade Imasuen & Five other Senators Wrong their Names & Constituncies in Mud for Supporting Sexual Harassment Criminality

...Godfrey Ubong Reporting from Uyo live

The Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan and Senator Godswill Akpabio Sexual Harassment case enters another level with the Nigerian Women celebrate the United Nations International Women's Day in so much disappointment that the Senate President Godswill Akpabio is yet to tender his resignation or step aside as Senate President so the truth of the matter can up for the good of females in the world biggest black nation, Nigeria.

A lot of Women who were interviewed yesterday as the world celebrates women's Day said they are honestly disappointed by the way and manner the Senate has treated the issues of the sexual harassment on one of them Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan by the President of the Nigerian Senate himself.

If this continues, our democracy will be painted with the Criminality of sexual harassment that is not given any opportunity to stand in other democracies across the world.

Sexual harassment is a serious crime and should not be put under the carpet if we are serious in involving women in politics in Africa most especially Nigeria that is the biggest democracy in Africa at the moment.

Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan was suspended on the floor of the house because the leadership of the Senate is complicit in the Criminality happening in Nigeria over the years.

The looting and budget padding taking place in that house has not allowed anything good to happen in Nigeria.

They support looting and Criminality of all kinds and that has not made the nation move forward in anything good.

Moreover, the standing rules of the house do not allow any senator to be suspended for more than 14 days so how come senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan is bagging a six months suspension.

All they do in that house is Criminality since senator Godswill Akpabio became its president and he's not working alone.

If you look at the senators that have publicly came out to the media to ask the authority to suspend senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan on this sexual harassment matter you will understand that they are under the payroll of the Senate President.

The standing rules of the house didn't cover any senator to be suspended beyond 14 days. And there is nothing again stopping the suspended senators staff salaries or closure of the senators office at the same time.

All they have done so far is a clear manifestation that there's a criminal gang inside the Senate that parades themselves as the leadership of the house operating this Criminality seen on a daily basis against the Nigerian people.

The Nigerian people are not happy with what the senators have done.

They must revert the suspension on Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan with immediate effect or face the Nigerian people in the coming days because the people have resolved to come all out in a peaceful protest against the Senate and it's leadership if the so called suspension is not reduced to 14 days according to the standing rules.

The Senate is supposed to be a law making Organisation operated with the tax payers authority and not a place where political criminals can be operating their deals without any fear for the breakdown of the democracy of the nation.

Senator Godswill Akpabio who did not contest any election and was forced into the Senate by the Bola Tinubu Administration must be shown the way out of the Senate or the people will force him out.

Nigerians have never worried about what really happens at the Senate until now that their secrets have been pushed out to the people by one of them who was harassed by the Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan must be commended for such bold character to come out to the public to say the truth of what females suffer in the politics of Nigeria over the years.

And all these females supporting Godswill Akpabio for the crimes against humanity will also suffer the same wickedness by God's Grace because it's wrong for you to come out to be attacking a lady who was sexual harassed.

A lot of Women get sexually harassed and don't say it out BCS of the stagma that comes with it in our kind of society.

We must not allow this to continue now is the time to stop this.

Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan must be vindicated and senator Godswill Akpabio must step aside for a revisit of the case by the committee in charge or a private investigative organization be invited to handle the investigation because the Senate itself has compromised already.

The government of Bola Tinubu must ask the Senate to do the needful by asking Senate Godswill Akpabio to step aside or resign as Senate President in good fate to clear his name.

The Nigerian people must also stand up against this injustice if not this sexual not attended to today will birth the influence of public harassment breeding public rape of females across Nigeria in sooner time from now.

Look at some of the law enforcement against sexual harassment across the world that Nigeria must borrow in settling this case.

The international community has established robust laws and conventions to combat sexual harassment. The United Nations General Assembly Resolution 48/104, for instance, defines violence against women to include sexual harassment and encourages countries to develop sanctions and preventative measures.

*Global Conventions and Laws*

- The Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) directs countries to take measures to eliminate discrimination against women, including sexual harassment.

- The Beijing Platform for Action recognizes sexual harassment as a form of violence against women and calls for governments, employers, unions, and civil society to take action.

- The International Labour Organization (ILO) has established conventions that prohibit sexual harassment in the workplace.

*Regional Laws and Regulations*

- In Europe, the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, and several directives deal with sexual harassment in employment and access to goods and services.

- In Africa, the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa obliges countries to take measures to eliminate discrimination against women, including sexual harassment.

- In the Americas, the Inter-American Convention on the Prevention, Punishment and Eradication of Violence Against Women affirms the right of women to be free from violence, including sexual harassment.

*National Laws*

- Many countries, including India, Australia, Brazil, Germany, Denmark, and Spain, have enacted laws that prohibit sexual harassment in the workplace and provide mechanisms for victims to seek redress.

These laws and conventions demonstrate the international community's commitment to combating sexual harassment and promoting gender equality.
